I’m an enthusiastic Chemistry teacher with 14+ years of experience in a Sixth Form College. I engage students by breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple, accessible ideas, making learning both easier and more enjoyable. I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs, ensuring personalised & focused support that maximises student engagement.

With a PhD and two master’s degrees in Chemistry, along with research experience, I encourage students to think like scientists and make connections between topics—an essential skill for success in A Level exams.

I have extensive experience as an A Level science tutor, covering AQA, OCR, and Edexcel A Level Chemistry, and have worked as an internal and external moderator for Access to Science courses.

I’ve been nominated for the “Teacher of the Year” TES award, and I actively participate in the Schools Outreach programmes—visiting underachieving schools in south west England to inspire students to pursue science at a higher level. I believe that building confidence and enthusiasm in Chemistry leads to significant improvements in academic performance.
